dave also enjoys being a grease monkey, and is well versed in small engine items. vehicles, however, are something new, relatively speaking. though I bet it wouldn't take him much to figure out the cause(s) for your concern(s)
recently, power monitoring outlets became of interest, and it was discovered christmas lights of the C9 variety used with a dimmer for ambient lighting consumed approximately 250 watts -- quite excessive, especially for 1/4 brightness. $25 on Amazon for some LED bulbs and 25 minutes later, power consumption dropped to a whopping 50 watts at full brightness. Utilizing the dimmer -- it can be lowered to an amazing 7 watts while outputting a satisfying amount of photons.
we shouldn't forget to mention the work room itself being a virtual space heater sometimes -- though this is to be expected.
